ADÁN BEAN (@adanbean)

Adán Bean is an accomplished spoken word poet, emcee, writer, storyteller, and voice-over talent with a creative base firmly anchored in the Atlanta arts, culture, and music scene. As a TEDx speaker and National Poetry Slam song winner, Adán was recently awarded the 2023 Arts & Social Justice Fellowship for Emory University and the Serenbe Frances Focus Fellowship from the South Fulton Institute. His work has been featured with Change.org, Sony, Young Money, Delta, Coca-cola, Cricket Wireless, and many more. While working on a new EP and touring in the Fall, he curates a monthly free show entitled Good*Night, held at Buteco (Grant Park) on the last Friday of every month, featuring music, comedy, and spoken word. Big-band jazz bred and “old-school soul” at heart, the Miami-native [now Atlanta resident] is open to all forms of music. “If I can feel it, I can play it!” she quips. It’s this willingness to embrace all styles that have afforded Téja chances to play with artists of several genres, both on the local and industry levels including Lil Yachty, JID, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Holliday, Frank McComb, Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, Carol Albert, Kindred the Family Soul, Kenny Lattimore, Angie Stone, and Chandra Currelley – as well as her own all-woman band: VENUS. Téja has over 20 years of live performance and touring under her belt! She’s performed on six continents, on varied illustrious stages including the Grammy Awards, the White House, Saturday Night Live, Radio City Music Hall, NPR Tiny Desk, Jazz in the Gardens, Montreaux Jazz Festival, O2 Arena, Billboard LIVE, Wembley Stadium, Madison Square Garden, the Late Show, the Today Show, Austin City Limits, the Hollywood Bowl, Essence Festival, Coachella, the Bitter End, Good Morning America and tons more!

In 2017, Téja released her first offering – “The Hopeless Romantic EP”, in which she put her spin on a few of her love song favorites! Téja released her first original song – “Go” – in 2020! ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE

ATL Collective’s Preservation Series is a local music program wherein timeless albums are artfully covered by local musicians and artists, track-by-track in sequence, oftentimes with storytelling, original curated sets, and immersive elements. The show will raise funds for ATL Collective, a 510c3 non-profit enriching lives by uniting Atlanta’s music community and providing resources to sustain musical careers. ATL C seeks to build an ecosystem that celebrates the cultural vibrancy of Atlanta and connects undiscovered artists with new audiences.

For over 10 years, ATL Collective has reimagined over 75 timeless albums and built a significant connection hub for the Atlanta’s music community while doing so. Additionally ATL C, hosts Camp Collective which provides the relationships needed to holistically support working songwriters by creating an experience for personal, creative, and professional growth through mentored studio sessions, expert-led panels, and community-building forums. Finally, In 2021 ATL Collective also launched the With the Band Fund, a crisis fund for live musicians.
