10+ collaborator relationships
5+ hours with experienced music business professionals

Dates:

January 23-27, 2023

Location:

Various studios in the metro area

How to Apply:

Applications for Camp Collective 23 have now closed. Please check back in later in the year for additional camp offerings.

The Process

Intake and apply:

Writers apply and, if accepted, are assigned to a pod of three other writers and a producer or coach based on writing experience, goals, and genre. Over the course of three days, the team will write and record together, selecting one song at the end of camp for release.

Mentorship placement:

Based on goals and gaps in professional development, writers are placed with nightly one-on-one mentors, covering the week of camp.

Nightly programming:

Each night, writers and coaches will have an access pass to panels, keynotes, and performances — all curated to support growth, provide opportunities for relationship building, and showcase the talent of Camp participants.

“Being a self managed indie artist who is responsible for every aspect of what’s required to set up studio sessions with producers and writers, I appreciated being able to just be a writer and focus on the creative.” – Somalia Ramin

The best part of Camp Collective was “meeting other songwriters/artists that I would not have otherwise crossed paths with.”

Program Fees

Production costs including scholarships for Camp Collective are heavily subsidized by our generous sponsors (Georgia Power), which allows us to run the camp at a discounted rate of just $300 for artists, which includes:

  • Three facilitated writing sessions in a professional studio with an established industry producer or coach
  • One fully produced and released song
  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Full access to all evening programming
  • Two tickets to an ATLC Preservation Series show in 2023

To maintain a crafted, intimate, focused experience, Camp Collective is limited to 55 participants. There are a limited number of $250 Early Bird slots available for the first 10 accepted writers.

By request, we are extending the camp to allow artists to take part in SIX writing sessions with TWO fully produced and released songs for an additional program fee.

*Camp Collective seeks to provide access and representation across Atlanta’s music community. Thanks to the generous support of GA Power, scholarships are available for those who may need financial support or resourcing to participate. We don’t want cost to be a barrier to entry for any potential applicant – if you feel that the program fee my be a challenge for you but you think this could be a good fit for you, please go ahead and apply and indicate on the application form that you are applying for a scholarship.
